Microblading
This new innovative beauty treatment is a form of Semi-permanent Make-up and is a technique that enhances the appearance of your eyebrows. Microblading is performed with the use of an ultra-thin blade. A natural pigment is deposited into the skin and natural hair like strokes are created, leaving a natural feathered brow appearance.
Common Microblading Questions
Although the treatment has been around and available for a few years now we still have a lot of questions around Microblading which we’ve covered in our blog posts you’ll be able to read below. We’ve also covered a few of the most common ones for you:

How Long will my Microblading Last?
Microblading may last anything from 1 – 2.5 years, all dependent on your skin type and how well the pigment holds to your skin. However, most clients like to touch up the “fresh” microbladed look which is well known to be very addictive.
Who is Microblading ideal for?
Microblading is suitable for anyone wanting a more full and natural looking eyebrow. It is most beneficial for clients with Alopecia, Trichotillomania and other hair loss conditions.
Is it suitable for men and women?
The creation of perfect brows isn’t limited to either gender and Lavish SA treats both men and women. Both get the same benefit from this treatment. The main criteria for your reaction to microblading will be your skin type. Dryer skin has a more crisp and defined look where oily skin can look more powdery. Aftercare Instructions will always be provided to ensure the results are beautiful and flawless.
Is Microblading Painful?
The process does cause some discomfort but basically, microblading is the process of making very small scratches in the surface of the skin and depositing pigment in the scratches to create hair-like strokes, this means you aren’t penetrating the skin deeply. Numbing cream is also applied so the process isn’t an uncomfortable experience. Post-treatment products are available too.
What makes a good Microblading technician?
You need to make sure you are working with an artist/technician that has a proven track record of creating the type of brows you would like. You should always check the social media and online galleries provided but also be able to chat to your microblading technician about the exact type of brows you want and have the associated images shared with you depending on the look and treatment you are after.
There are a plethora of artists popping up and you want to make sure your chosen salon uses new technology and tried and tested products. There are also qualifications they would need to gain, ensure you request this before your treatment. There is a lot of literature available on this and your technician will be able to provide this long before you go through for the treatment ensuring you’ve made an informed and educated decision you won’t regret.
Lavish SA is really proud of our work and pride ourselves on providing an outstanding customer experience. Please feel free to get in touch with us for any questions you have on the treatment and we’ll be sure to assist you immediately.
